Teach the Thinking, Not the Script: The Impact of Intentional Lesson Preparation
Wednesday June 10, 2026 8:30am - 9:55am CDT
Lesson preparation is the intentional process of translating a lesson plan into a clear learning progression by anticipating student thinking, planning exemplars and errors, and scripting how students will actively engage to ensure mastery for all learners. In this session, participants will learn how intentional lesson preparation creates high participation and think ratios, strengthens student understanding and success, and frees teachers’ cognitive space so they can prioritize listening to, analyzing, and responding to student thinking rather than managing what comes next in the lesson.

SAT for All: Building a 5-12 Math Pipeline
Wednesday June 10, 2026 12:35pm - 2:00pm CDT
A 5-12 SAT-aligned mathematics pipeline is a coherent, grade-by-grade development of students' reasoning, modeling, and problem-solving skills that prepares them for the demands of the digital SAT. In this session, participants will learn about the shifts in SAT math expectations, explore vertical alignment, analyze grade-band tasks, and design SAT-style reasoning opportunities that strengthen their own instructional practice.
